Conservation District feral hog control Services

In 2017, the Brier Creek Conservation District, led by Chair Tom Mims, initiated a feral hog control program within the District to assist producers and landowners who are experiencing significant damage.

The District equipped a local Hog Control Custodian (HCC) with trapping equipment to eradicate feral hogs in the District.

Under the leadership of Tom Mims (who now serves as GACD Feral Swine Committee Chair), GACD has been able to replicate this program throughout the state and offer resources to other local Conservation Districts who want to provide control services.
