ALTAMAHA SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT
The Altamaha Soil and Water Conservation District is an agency of the State Government that was established February 8, 1945. It is legally constituted, administrative agency of the state of Georgia. The Altamaha District Board Supervisors are charged with the responsibility of making conservation programs available for 1.401,500 acres of land in the District. The Altamaha District consist of five counties, Appling, Bacon, Coffee, Jeff Davis, and Telfair.
